Prabin kumar Rawat
Prabin Kumar Rawat is a film producer and director from Kathmandu, Nepal. He began his career as a production manager and line producer on feature films, commercials, documentaries, and music videos, all while completing his film degree.
He co-founded Cryptid Films, known for many acclaimed Nepali short films. Prabin develops and produces stories from society’s margins, often about the environment, identity, and sustainability.

2017: Produced A Year by Jisun Jamie Lee (Telluride Mountain Film Festival).
2018: Produced Jaalgedi – A Curious Girl (Busan; Best Short Film, Berlinale K-Plus).
2019: Produced Black Goat by Tang Yi (Austin Film Festival); directed his first short, Kalam (Busan).
2021: Produced Yet Another Winter (Busan).
2022: Produced Wheels on the Bus (Berlin); line producer on Lori – Melancholy of My Mother's Lullabies, the first Nepali film in competition at Cannes 2022 (Special Mention).

First feature as producer: KARA – A Tale of Agony (fiction).
Short in distribution: Babuniya – A Woman Behind the Closed Door (both directed by Keshab Pandey).
Developing Messenger of the God, a feature by Nigam Bhandari, with Busan Asian Film School (AFiS).
