SYNOPSIS
At English Boarding School, the last weekend of each month is a time of joy and reunion, as students return home to their families. But for 10-year-old Hari, it’s a painful reminder of absence. Trapped between his separated parents and unable to reach either, Hari finds himself alone while others leave for the warmth of home. Through his quiet resilience, A Paper Plane explores the emotional isolation of children shaped by fractured families and rigid educational systems—where rules often take precedence over empathy.
A PAPER PLANE premiered at the 8th Bastau International Film Festival (Kazakhstan, 2019) and was later selected for Jehlum Film Festival, Lift-Off Global Network Sessions, KIMFF, and Pame Film and Music Festival.
